You've arrived! Welcome to our Women’s Ministry at Kingston Gospel Temple. It is our sincere desire to provide plenty of opportunities and resources for women to grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ. Knowing the many needs of women and the extreme challenges that one may face on any given day, we want to connect with you in a practical way.

We pray we will be able to help strengthen and encourage you in your faith, day by day. We are women who long to know our God. Ladies Day at Lakeshore Camp

Ladies Road Trip! Dinner and a Play.

On August 11th, a bus load of KGT women made their way to the Port Hope Capital theatre to take in a production of Oklahoma. Upon arrival in Port Hope, the KGT ladies were treated to a hop on tour of the historical town highlighting features such as
the waterfront, beautiful renovated buildings, and even the house of Farley Mowat (who apparently was in residence as demonstrated by the owl in his window).
A delicious lunch was enjoyed by all at the Palm Restaurant and then it was on to the theatre. The music was crisp, the dancing was lively and the audience was thrilled. In all it was a wonderful day. If you didn’t have a chance to join us for this event, make sure to get in on the upcoming events.

Marilyn Bush would like to offer a heartfelt thank you to all the ladies who attended the final WM BBQ last June, as well as the dessert night in July. A portion of the money raised was put towards her ministry (a total of $245 was raised).

Thought for the Day: God is down in front. He is the tomorrows. It is tomorrow that fills men with dread. God is there already. All the tomorrows of our life have to pass through Him before they can get to us. Fredrick B. Meyer

Women's Ministries - Thanks for all who joined us for a fun cooking demonstration “TV style”.

Living in Today
by Gail Rodgers ( http://christianwomentoday.com)

Julie’s stomach churned with anxiety. She was worrying about tomorrow. It’s something we all do. It is important to plan for tomorrow. It’s important to plan how to nourish relationships, how to spend our time and our money wisely and to set goals. Yet we often simply let worry about tomorrow overtake our minds. Soon we feel it in our bodies too. Worrying about tomorrow will rob you of today!

God understands that. He also understands each one of us. That’s why in His Word, the Bible, He gave many examples and encouragement to take one day at a time.
Stop for a moment right now and identify the thief of worry in your life. Take what you are worrying about and put it into a prayer to God. Hand that worry about tomorrow into His hands. He already sees tomorrow and will give you the strength to handle tomorrow when it comes.

Walk in today. God’s help and strength is a daily supply. He gives it until tomorrow, not for tomorrow.
Listen to all the encouragement from God to live in today….

* “Give us this day our daily bread…” (Matthew 6:11)
* “I cry to you daily…” (Psalm 86:3)
* “…they searched the Scriptures daily” (Acts 17:11).
* “Encourage one another daily…” (Hebrews 3:13)
* “… daily follow me” (Luke 9:23).

Live in today…draw strength for today…and know that because Jesus lives… you can face tomorrow when it arrives.

"~ Father God,
Thank You that You provide all I need to walk in this day. I put my hand in Yours and ask for Your strength and guidance for each step today. Thank You that You already see tomorrow and You will be there to help me face whatever it brings when it comes. Help my anxious heart to release tomorrow to Your loving care. In Jesus’ name I pray, amen."

Questions:
1. Why does God encourage us to live in today?
2. Why do our minds gravitate towards tomorrow?
3. Let’s spend some time praying together, submitting our worries to God and asking Him to open our eyes to see how He is helping and strengthening us today.

WNTW @ the TEMPLE! Thats right! the TEMPLE's own WHAT NOT TO WEAR crew was busy doing some local upgrades. The recently taped episode was aired at the monthly meeting and featured four of the Temple's own (who wish to remain un-named at this time!). The key references for the program are found in...

Colossians 1:16 - For Everything, absolutely everything, above and below, visible and invisible ... everything got started in him and finds its purpose in him.

Timothy 2:9a - in like manner that women adorn themselves in modest apparel.

1 Samuel 16:7 - The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance but the Lord looks at the heart.

Isaiah 3:16 - The Lord said the daughters of Zion are haughty and walk with outstrectched necks, glancing wantonly with their eyes, mincing along as they go, tinkling with their feet.
